This commanding office building began its life as The Princess Anne Hotel, the largest hotel between Richmond and Washington. Prominent visitors included Winston Churchill (twice), President Warren Harding, and Gloria Swanson. The hotel opened its doors on September 11, 1914, when first-class postage cost 2 cents.
